INTEGRATED PSYCHEDELIC MEDICINE & EMDR THERAPY RETREAT

VENUE

This retreat-based experiential training will take place in-person, at a beautiful and historic 18th-century property, situated on the shores of the Montego Bay Lagoon, a saltwater inlet of the Caribbean Sea in Jamaica.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Participants will be able to legally experience psilocybin mushrooms, under the guidance and support of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy-trained EMDRIA Approved Consultants, who have experience working with people in non-ordinary states of consciousness. Other modalities for preparation and integration will include yoga, music and poetry.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Participants will learn:

• How EMDR Therapy can support Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration (PHRI).

• To define common psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy terminology, such as "set and setting" and "intentions" and how to adopt these terms with EMDR Therapy.

• About ketamine, MDMA and psilocybin and the theoretical mechanisms of action purported to treat MH and SA disorders.

• How to employ EMDR Therapy's standard protocol to support preparation and integration of psychedelic experiences. 

• Standard Protocol, Resource Development and Installation (RDI), and Future Template (FT) protocols and practice for preparation and/or integration to support psychedelic experiences. 

• About trans-generational trauma and how EMDR therapy and psychedelics can support the exploration, interruption, and healing of trans-generational trauma.

DETAILS, APPLICATION, & PRICING

Space is limited to12 professional therapist participants. Participants are screened and selected via online questionnaire and confidential (HIPPA compliant) video or telephone interviews. 

 

Two remote (video) training sessions will take place prior to the on-site retreat for accepted participants. Remote sessions will take place November 9, 2023 from 1pm to 3pm and December 7, 2023 from 12 pm (noon) to 3:3opm.
